EDGE OF AXE-STINCTION WINNERS!

Bonded By Blades – The IATF Doubles Premier Hatchet Marathon

20 games - 300 axes per team (not counting big axe tie-breakers or playoffs because let’s not get scary with numbers).

From the very first throw, this day was full of laughter, flying axes and elite level good vibes. And honestly… who knew compulsory party clutches would be THAT entertaining for both competitors and spectators?

Podium Results

The Ghosties – #Legday & Shrubbie

These two kept everyone on their toes all day and took out Day 1 of the Trilogy in style.

Shits n Giggles – Squeak & Scuba Steve

They were not giving up without a fight, and somehow laughed their way across the finish line.

Pack of Punks – Flamingo & Punkette

Locked in from start to finish and made 1st & 2nd work for every single point.

Because this is 13 Axes… we obviously had bonus trophies.

Bonus Achievements

Most 1’s – Fingers Crossed (GG & Wing It)

First ever doubles play. Plenty of laughs. Plenty of axes clinking. 47 ones for the day and a trophy to remember it by.

Most 3’s – TIE

Fingers Crossed (GG & Wing It)

Nom Nom Noms (Bohemian Axody & Venom — not their real name, but Sammi liked it better )

217 threes each.

And we all know Sammi loves a tie… because that means another trophy.

Most Bullseyes – The Ghosties

397 bulls. Locked. In.

Pack of Punks were creeping with 336, and You’re On Deeeck made strong moves with 321, just shy of the line, but a solid effort.

Most Clutches – The Ghosties

53 clutches.

Pack of Punks close behind with 44.

Shits n Giggles with 38.

Most Wins – The Ghosties

19 wins out of 20 games.

Huge shoutout to Nom Nom Noms for being the ONLY team to take a win off them all day!

Now… no trophy for this one (yet)…

But the Robinhoods absolutely deserve a mention.

For anyone new, a Robinhood is when an axe splits or lands directly into another axe already in the target. Rare? Maybe, Maybe Not. Entertaining? Absolutely.

Most Robinhoods went to You’re On Deeeck – Panda & Axel Foley, who clearly decided normal throwing wasn’t chaotic enough.

And that wrapped up Day 1.

Bellies full of cheese kranskys, chicken chippies and mozzarella sticks… and everyone headed off for much-needed rest before we did it all again.
